A beautiful and characterful late Victorian upholstered tub chair, dating to approximately 1890
The chair has a wonderfully distinctive low, curved form, with the upholstered back sweeping continuously around into the arms. The dark polished hardwood frame features an attractive open-back construction with shaped supports, turned front legs and original-style castors, giving the piece an elegant yet substantial appearance.
The chair is upholstered in a traditional green and gold checked fabric, finished with decorative braided trim around the edges. The combination of the rich dark timber and soft green upholstery gives it a particularly attractive period look.
Its generously proportioned seat and wrap-around back make this both a decorative and practical piece of antique furniture. It would work beautifully as an occasional chair, bedroom chair, fireside chair or statement armchair in a traditional or eclectic interior.

If you purchase an item from us online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the item.
To exercise your right to cancel, you must contact us within 14 days of delivery and clearly inform us that you wish to return the item.
Once you have notified us of your decision to cancel, the item must be returned to us within 14 days.
Return Costs
The buyer is responsible for arranging and paying the full cost of returning the item to MebleinUK.
This includes the cost of specialist furniture transport or courier services where required. We strongly recommend using an appropriate, insured delivery service, as the buyer is responsible for ensuring that the item is returned safely.
Please contact us before arranging a return so that we can provide the correct return address and any necessary delivery instructions.
Condition of Returned Items
Returned items must be in the same condition as when they were delivered.
The buyer may inspect the item as reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and condition. If an item is returned damaged or its value has been reduced as a result of handling beyond what is reasonably necessary, we reserve the right to make an appropriate deduction from the refund, where permitted by law.
Refunds
Once the returned item has been received, or you have provided acceptable evidence that it has been sent back, we will process the refund in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.
The refund will include the purchase price and, where applicable, the cost of our standard delivery option. If you chose an enhanced or more expensive delivery service, any additional delivery charge above our standard delivery cost will not be refunded.
Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
If an item arrives damaged in transit, is materially different from its description, or you believe it is faulty, please contact us as soon as possible.
Please provide photographs of the item, packaging and any damage so that we can investigate the matter and arrange an appropriate solution.
